M. Sasek was born in 1916 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. An author and illustrator, he is best remembered for his classic stories on the great cities of the world. This is Hong Kong, first published in 1965, captures the enchantment and the contrasts of Hong Kong in the sixties. While this is not the Hong Kong we would see today, the book includes all the key things that makes this region so endearing and this new publication has an update at the end of the book noting more recent changes of the day.
